Assistant Boutique Manager

Description We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to play a leading role in the success of the store/counter by supporting the Store Manager to lead, coach, and develop our team of Sales Associates to achieve all sales, customer service, and operational targets.

Candidates should have proven supervisory, coaching, and retail operations skills gained in a fast-paced retail environment. If you are an ambitious and high-performing self-starter with a flair for retail and a passion for coaching others to reach their full potential, this could be the perfect role—and the first step towards a long-term and fulfilling career with a leader in prestige beauty.

Position Summary

At Jo Malone London, bringing the brand’s generosity to life within our boutiques through exceptional customer service is paramount. Fragrant fun, curiosity, and kindness are key.

In this role, you will truly be the host with the most, entertaining visitors from across the globe and showcasing The World of Jo Malone London™ to our customers, global colleagues, and corporate clients/media contacts.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Maximise sales performance and productivity
  • Oversee team management (coaching, development, scheduling)
  • Communicate effectively across the department
  • Build collaborative relationships with store teams
  • Create, organise, and execute in-store events
  • Effectively manage stock and inventory
  • Maintain high visual merchandising (VM) standards and work environment
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly and professionally
  • Monitor competitor activity and drive an omnichannel approach

The Assistant Boutique Manager supports the Boutique Manager in running the business and takes control in their absence. Creativity is our day-to-day—from signature hand-arm massages and wedding consultations to bespoke events (floral crowns, graffiti masterclasses, cocktail demonstrations).


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty
  • Customer service expertise—inspirational, authentic, and personalised
  • Supervisory/managerial experience with a track record of coaching teams to hit sales and service targets
  • Experience in retail operations (inventory management, cash reconciliation, POS systems)
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours: weekends, evenings, special events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Applicants must provide proof of right to live/work in the country if shortlisted

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Boutique Manager
  • Direct reports: Senior Stylist / Stylists

    • Proven retail management/assistant management experience
