Senior Stylist – Outstanding Customer Service & Team Leadership

About the Role

The Senior Stylist ensures exceptional customer service while maintaining store operations and supporting the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding and motivating Stylists to meet sales and service targets
  • Delivering personalised, inspirational customer experiences
  • Ensuring service and sales targets (transactions, average sale value) are achieved

Core Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Focus

  • Provide outstanding service tailored to individual customer needs
  • Embed a culture of cross-selling and upselling within the team
  • Achieve sales targets with an emphasis on transaction value, mix, and profitability

Store Management & Operations

  • Execute promotions and events according tostore guidelines (directed byAssistant Manager, Boutique Manager, or Education Team)
  • Maintain shop floor stock levels, ensure merchandising rules are followed, and flag discrepancies
  • Oversee stock room integrity, tidying and accuracy

Team Leadership & Development

  • Monitor and support the team to meet sales and service goals -Give guidance, feedback and motivation to Stylists
  • Foster a collaborative environment while maintaining high standards

Administrative & Timekeeping

  • Complete all administrative tasks (accurate, legible, and timely)
  • Ensure excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Familiarise self with promotions, company policies, and store updates

Store & Premises Maintenance

  • Daily upkeep: clean displays, tools, and testers
  • Nightly thorough clean preparing the store for the next day

Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Proven retail experience, ideally in cosmetics or beauty retail
  • Ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalised service
  • Previous supervisory experience (coaching/mentoring sales and customer service targets) – desirable
  • Operations skills (opening/closing procedures, cash reconciliation) – desirable
  • Experience with retail POS systems
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, events)
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills

Optional (Desirable) Additional Responsibilities

Understand and contribute to sales and service training initiatives (ongoing development). Support in store opening/closing activities.
