This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Howdens depot in Nottingham. The Job Title role focuses on supporting day-to-day depot operations, delivering excellent service to trade customers, and contributing to sales and customer satisfaction. Typical responsibilities may include:

- Assisting with customer inquiries
- Supporting kitchen and product design consultations
- Maintaining stock levels and merchandising
- Coordinating with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of products
- Processing orders
- Handling basic administration
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve depot performance targets
The successful candidate will work closely with local tradespeople and internal teams to uphold Howdens’ standards of quality, safety, and service.
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with trade customers and colleagues.
- Basic sales and commercial awareness skills, including confidence in discussing products and supporting customers with suitable solutions.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail when handling orders, stock, and depot administration.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to supporting depot operations and achieving shared goals.
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to use email, order processing systems, and product information tools.
- Previous experience in a trade, retail, or depot environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment, with a focus on health and safety.
- Willingness to learn about Howdens products, kitchen design principles, and the needs of trade professionals.
