Garsington Opera stages productions of the highest professional quality in an intimate and picturesque setting at Wormsley in the Chiltern Hills. The company is recognized for championing rarely performed works of artistic interest alongside core repertoire, including operas by Mozart and Rossini. It offers a platform for outstanding emerging principal singers to collaborate with established artists, providing a dynamic and inspiring environment for creative growth. Garsington Opera places particular emphasis on working with distinguished conductors and stage directors, creating an ambitious and artistically rich program each season.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London. The Job Title will support the planning and delivery of Garsington Opera’s productions and related activities, working closely with artistic, production, and administrative teams. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Coordinating schedules
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing documentation and reports
- Assisting with event and performance logistics
The role will also involve maintaining accurate records, supporting project timelines, and contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow across departments. The Job Title is expected to uphold the company’s artistic standards and collaborative culture while adapting to the seasonal demands of an opera organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in performing arts, cultural organizations, or event production, with a strong interest in opera or classical music.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including planning, scheduling, and handling multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with artists, colleagues, and external partners.
- Proficiency with standard office software and digital collaboration tools; ability to learn new systems as needed.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in London and occasionally at performance locations, including some evening and weekend commitments during the season.

Advantageous:
- Relevant education or training in arts administration, music, theatre, or a related field.
- Prior experience in production coordination, stage management support, or arts project administration is beneficial but not essential.
