Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom at East London Arts and Music. The Job Title role involves planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences that equip young people with creative, technical, and professional skills relevant to the music, games design, and film and television sectors. The role also includes:
- Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development
- Maintaining strong relationships with industry partners
- Contributing to enrichment activities and events
The successful candidate will support ELAM’s mission by promoting high standards, safeguarding learners, and actively participating in the wider academy community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more relevant creative sectors (music, games design, film and television) and the ability to translate industry practices into learning activities.
- Strong instructional, coaching, or mentoring skills, with experience supporting young people’s development and progression.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and external partners.
- Comfort with using digital tools and platforms to support teaching, learning, and administration.
- Relevant professional experience and/or qualifications in education, training, or the creative industries; a teaching qualification or equivalent is beneficial.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to creating a supportive learning environment for all learners.
