About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our core group, to help us manage our projects, and product development. As a TPM, you will bridge the execution flow between technical teams, product management and customers ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

Gaussian Solutions LLC is a product and services company that is modernizing Geospatial Analysis and Transit Data Pipelines. By leveraging the advances in Artificial Intelligence, especially Computer Vision and Deep Learning applied towards aerial and LiDAR imagery, and Large Language Models, we bring unprecedented capabilities to digitize, metricize and represent physical infrastructure. Our current focus is on City Infrastructure with an emphasis on pedestrian and bike transportation networks.

Gaussian Solutions has developed multimodal inputs to consistent representation of pedestrian networks in a graph routable format that enables multitude of downstream applications like customizable pedestrian routing applications, equity analysis, budget prioritization based on projected impact, and city infrastructure accessibility.

Location

Remote – Gaussian Solutions seeks candidates in the Pacific Time Zone or those able to work primarily overlapping hours with the Pacific Time Zone.

Must be available for at least two weekly meetings accommodating an international team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Lead and manage multiple geospatial software development projects, from planning through execution and delivery. Coordinate across teams including engineering, data science, product management, and quality assurance to ensure successful product development. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and follow up on the execution to meet milestones and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary liaison between technical teams, product management, and external partners to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and technical requirements. Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to executives and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating decision-making processes. Engage with customers to understand their technical and business needs and ensure that products meet their requirements.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential project risks, bottlenecks, and technical challenges, and proactively devise mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to geospatial software or data processing workflows as they arise.
  • Product Delivery & Quality: Oversee product releases, ensuring that software and data products meet high standards of performance, accuracy, and scalability. Ensure that proper testing, validation, and documentation procedures are in place for all geospatial products.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or similar roles, ideally within geospatial software, data processing, or a related industry. Proven experience managing software development projects, including agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management. PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of geospatial technologies, including GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), remote sensing, spatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, shapefiles), and spatial analysis. Ability to navigate technical discussions with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical clients effectively.
  • Customer Service Orientated: Strong customer service skills with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs. Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in industries such as environmental consulting, urban planning, transportation, or utilities is desirable.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Compensation & Benefits

In the city of Seattle, WA, the salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000.
