Experienced Commissioning General Foreman – Future Opportunities in Clean Energy

Are you an experienced Commissioning General Foreman with a background in utility-scale solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), substations, or high-voltage electrical systems? Key Responsibilities
(When the time comes, you’ll lead with impact!)
- Lead and supervise commissioning teams and craft labor to ensure safety, productivity, and quality
- Manage labor, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractors for commissioning and testing activities
- Serve as a technical consultant for:
- Electrical circuits
- Interconnect systems
- Distribution systems
- Oversee and support integrator commissioning and third-party testing (TTR, winding resistance, Partial Discharge (PD), fiber/Cat6, etc.)
- Draft and manage commissioning plans, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and energization protocols
- Coordinate energization with utilities and project owners
- Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements
- Mentor Field Engineers and Foremen on scope, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain crew and equipment databases, supporting project analysis
- Ensure effective communication with Trade Supervisors and all stakeholder groups
Who We’re Looking For
A strong preference for candidates with:
- 5+ years of construction leadership experience in:
- Utility-scale BESS)
- Solar
- Substations
- High-voltage systems
- BESS commissioning/engineering expertise (ideal)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Technical skills:
- Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and contract documents
- Proficiency in job costing and safety protocols
- Soft skills:
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution
- Willingness to relocate for projects in Arizona, California, or Texas

Physical Requirements
(Please review carefully)
- Ability to:
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights/confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations)
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs (assistance provided for heavier loads)
- Stand/walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods (dirt, concrete, asphalt)
- PPE compliance required:
- Clean-shaven; long sleeves; steel-toe boots
- Respirator and additional PPE where needed
- Must pass client-specific safety requirements
- Physical exams may be required per project
Work Conditions
-Urban and industrial construction sites Buyer sites for fabrication projects
- Environmental factors:
- Predominantly outdoor work, exposure to:
- Extreme heat/cold, humidity, rain
- Loud construction noise
- Chemical or hazardous material exposure (PPE provided)
