Senior Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar (Talent Community Entry)

What You’ll Do (When the Time Is Right)

As a future Project Manager with Primoris Renewable Energy, you’ll deliver end-to-end leadership for utility-scale solar projects, including:

  • Directing all phases: design → construction → commercial operation
  • Managing engineering, construction, and client relations across high-impact projects
  • Coordinating project timelines, budgets, contracts, procurement, and logistics
  • Enforcing Safety, Quality, and Performance (SQP) standards in all operations
  • Collaborating with internal Sullivan teams, external partners, and stakeholder groups
  • Possibly managing concurrent projects on tight deadlines

What You Bring to the Team

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years in Project Management, with verified experience in utility-scale solar self-perform EPC
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably renewable), Construction Management, or related field
  • Sleep panic-free to handle unpredictable industry demands with resilience

Key Competencies (Must Haves)

✅ Proven leadership in large-scale construction—hands-on monitoring, problem-solving, and deadline discipline ✅ Expertise with Primavera P6 or MS Project (scheduling) and contract administration systems ✅ Ability to balance technical precision with client/customer success outcomes ✅ Willingness to travel extensively (15–30% business travel weekly)

  • Client standards: Long‐sleeved shirts, steel‐toe footwear (may require additional PPE)
  • Pass physical exam if project requirements mandate voucher compliance

Essential Physical Restrictions (Must Clear):

  • 100% movement flexibility for:
    • Multi‐directional ladder/scaffolding navigation
    • Work at varying heights (excavations, tower)s and confined spaces
  • Effort: Capability to carry/lift ~50 lbs. (team‐assisted for exceptionally heavy loads)
  • Durability: Sustained work on uneven terrain (dirt, mud, gravel) requires endurance

Environment & Location

This role operates in industrial construction sites/fabrication shops nationwide. Daily conditions: ▪ Outdoor + elevated work (minor hazards: noise, noise, chemicals) ▪ Temperature extremes (heat cold), humidity, and adverse weather exposures


Remarkable Compensation & Commitment

Base Pay: $155,000–$180,000 (full‐time equivalent) • Total compensation flexes based on:

  • Project‐specific complexity
  • Relevant skill expansion and tenure contributions

Primoris adheres fully to pay equity laws and reserves ultimate discretion to incentivize roles beyond this range—while applying with fairness and transparency.
