Experienced Joiner – Social Housing Repairs & Improvements
Join us in shaping better homes and stronger communities. We’re seeking an experienced Joiner to carry out high-quality repairs and improvements across our customers’ homes. We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the Bradford region, managing over 22,000 social and affordable homes. With a workforce of nearly 1,000 talented colleagues, we’re committed to providing high-quality homes, services, and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out joinery repairs and general maintenance in our properties to the highest standards.
- Assess repair needs, recommend actions, and escalate complex work outside your trade to the Repairs Service Centre for further arrangement.
- Communicate clearly with customers about completed work, processes, and next steps to ensure satisfaction.
- Comply with all safety regulations, including HASAWA (Health and Safety at Work Act).
- Use Dynamic Repairs Scheduler to update work systems and maintain accurate work documentation.
- Drive to properties across the Bradford district, completing assessments and repairs efficiently.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
- Full, current driving licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles.
- Relevant experience in:
- Joinery repairs, refurbishments, and general maintenance.
- Working at heights (e.g., using ladders).
- Awareness of health and safety requirements, including COSHH and HASAWA.
- A full set of personal tools.
Person Specification
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including problem-solving and empathy during questioning.
- Right to work in the UK (Visa sponsorship not available).
Pre-Employment
- Criminal conviction DBS check required for the successful applicant.
