The Role: Step into the role of Assistant Compliance Technologist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract). Working Pattern: This is a full time, 12 month, fixed term contract based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and this is an onsite role. What you’ll Do: Work within our in-house, innovative Fabric and Compliance team and discover an exciting, opportunity to take on an integral role here at Joules Head Office. Expect to be accountable for the company’s compliance function by accurately recording, maintaining and reporting data related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), legal compliance and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations. Liaison with the team at NEXT ensuring clear and on time communication. Accurately record, update and maintain all compliance-related data, including CSR metrics, supplier audits and EPR reporting information. Ensure data is entered in line with company procedures and legal requirements. Monitor data accuracy and highlight discrepancies or missing information. Management of due diligence testing programmes. Aid with gathering documentation from suppliers, factories and internal teams for US Compliance Regulations. Facilitate the preparation of EPR submissions and other regulatory reports. Aid in monitoring adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. Record CSR activity data, including social impact initiatives and environmental KPIs. Aid with preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Monitoring and reporting on waste management, recycling and product end-of-life data for EPR compliance. What You’ll Bring: To really shine within the role of Assistant Compliance Technologist you must be able to work flexibly and at pace with an eye for detail. From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have: GCSEs/A Levels or equivalent; further qualifications in sustainability, compliance, restricted substances or business administration are desirable. Previous experience in an administrative or data-entry role, ideally within compliance, sustainability, restricted substances or manufacturing. Proficient in Google Suite and database systems. Knowledge of CSR principles, supply chain compliance or EPR legislation is an advantage but not essential – training will be provided. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data handling. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. A proactive and methodical approach to work. Interest in chemical compliance, international compliance, CSR and ethical manufacturing.
