About the Role
We are looking for a talented and driven Junior Game Artist to join the Realityjam studio team as an apprentice, contributing directly to the visual development of MMO game, 5th Dimension. This is a fully remote, paid apprenticeship offering structured training, hands-on production experience, and a clear progression pathway within the studio.
You will work across character art, environment art, and UI assets, collaborating with technical artists, programmers, and designers to deliver high-quality, game-ready visuals that meet performance targets and serve the aesthetic vision of 5th Dimension.
The apprenticeship training that supports this role is a level 6 ‘degree’ apprenticeship. Accordingly, the educational component of the role is delivered 2 days per week and constitutes a rigorous, intense vocational training pathway that requires some pre-existing knowledge and experience of technical art and CG. Degree apprenticeships are the most rigorous apprenticeship qualification available in the UK. Accordingly this role is not suitable for applicants who have not had some experience in a professional environment.
In tandem with the apprenticeship qualification the successful applicant will also qualify for a Unity Associate Certification at the completion of the apprenticeship which adds an additional, internationally recognized qualification layer to the outcomes produced by this role.
The role comprises elements of technical art and 3D design (art), working with Unity and various other 3D and asset creation tools.
If you’re not yet at the required experience level, our pre-apprenticeship pathway offers a direct, mentored route into this role, see below.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
