Junior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. This role will involve supporting the accounting department with various tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and a keen eye for accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring accountant to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment.

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
