Job Title: Junior Accountant

To support the growth of our activities, we are strengthening our global accounting team by hiring a full-time junior accountant in our London office.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated junior finance professional to support the activities of the UK based Group Financial Controller & Belgium based Senior accounting team. You will gain valuable experience working within a medium-sized, high growth, international FX and payments firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verification and entry of invoices and expense reports
  • Preparation of supplier payments
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • End of month/year balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in maintaining robust finance controls
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts
  • Take ownership of various month-end procedures
  • Produce dashboards with AI and Excel
  • Participation in year-end audit
  • Financial data analysis
  • Learn and leverage AI to improve automation within the finance team
  • Contribution to the drafting and updating of accounting and administrative procedures

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite - especially Excel
  • Strong numerical understanding and ability
  • 6+ months’ experience within an accounting department (preferred)
  • Fluent in English
  • Organized, precise, and rigorous
  • Right to work in the UK
