Salary - Competitive dependant on experience
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Holiday - 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)
About The Junior Accountant Role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant in our Peterborough office, with a September 2026 start.
As a Junior Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting tasks while working towards your professional qualifications. You will assist with bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll processing, and the preparation of financial statements for a diverse client portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced accountants, develop technical skills, and build strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities of a Junior Accountant will include:
- preparing year end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLP's
- preparing management accounts
- corporate tax returns
- personal tax returns
- VAT returns
- bookkeeping for clients
- delivering excelling client service
- working closely with clients, other members of the accounts team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners, managers and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare their accounts
- involvement in audit work as and when required

About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- minimum of Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English at GCSE
- excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
- self-motivated
- organised, efficient with attention to detail
- able to demonstrate drive and initiative
- able to reliably commute to the Peterborough office
- comfortable in a client facing role
- We are looking for dynamic individuals with a positive 'can do' attitude
- You will be highly personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- You will have a logical approach and be good with numbers
