Salary: £25k Per Annum plus full ACCA exam sponsorship
Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Role
As a growing group of companies with ambitions to scale, we are seeking to hire a junior accountant/graduate accountant to join our team. In this role, you will receive training and over time, take on additional responsibilities as you progress through your ACCA Exams, these may include preparing monthly finance packs, preparing financial forecasts, conducting financial analysis, and assisting the team with ad-hoc tasks as needed. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, allowing you to gain exposure across multiple businesses operating in different industries and contribute to the overall financial health of the group. The ideal candidate will have strong commitment, attention to detail, resilience, open-minded to get on with additional tasks/responsibilities, and willing to work as part of a team.
You will also benefit from the support of our strong and experienced finance team, who will provide the necessary guidance and assistance to ensure a smooth transition into your role. The role will support the group as needed but will primarily focus on the non-energy supply business.
We offer full ACCA exam sponsorship for new joiners and actively encourage team members to pursue ACCA membership to support their professional growth.

Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable: Process supplier purchase orders, invoices, and payments in an accurate and timely manner. Manage supplier reconciliations, respond to queries, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitoring incoming payments and maintaining accurate customer account records in the CRM.
- Month-End & Year End Close: Assist the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end close processes, including posting journal entries, and supporting with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, along with related analysis.
- Assisting with external Auditors: Support with internal and external audit processes.
- Adhoc tasks: Provide general administrative support to the finance team and assist with adhoc finance process improvements/projects.
Skills & Experience Required
- Accounting/financial experience: Prior Experience is not required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
- Teamwork: Demonstrates a strong team-working ethic, collaborating effectively with colleagues across all levels to achieve shared goals.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to maintaining accuracy.
- Time Management: Proven capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with accounting software and Excel, however, on-the-job training will be provided.
- Critical Thinking and Process Improvement: Strong curiosity to ask & consistently challenge the status quo, learn and improve.
