Junior Accounts Assistant (Remote) – £30,000 + Training Provided – Entry Level

Location: Remote Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent Industry: Finance / Accounting / Business Support

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with full training provided, making it ideal for:

Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will support a variety of accounting and administrative tasks while developing practical knowledge of financial processes and business operations.

  • Assist with processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts
  • Process expenses and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare payment runs and assist with bank reconciliations
  • Update accounting systems and digital records
  • Assist with month-end finance administration
  • Maintain confidential financial documentation
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team

Skills & Experience

  • Interest in finance, accounting, or business administration
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Previous administration, customer service, retail, hospitality, or finance experience is beneficial
  • Studying towards AAT or an accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • No previous finance experience required – full training provided
