Junior Accounts Payable Coordinator

Salary: £26,000
Location: Salford Quays

Looking for your first step into finance? Whether you're studying your AAT, or have recently graduated, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a leading global organisation.

Join a supportive Global Business Services finance team where you'll receive training, work alongside experienced professionals, and build practical accounting skills that will set the foundation for a successful finance career. With hybrid working (just 2 office days per week) and exposure to international finance operations, this role offers far more than a typical entry-level position.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll gain real-world experience across key accounts payable functions, including:

  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries.
  • Maintaining vendor accounts and financial records.
  • Supporting employee expense processing.
  • Posting bank payments and direct debits.
  • Assisting with inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
  • Matching purchase orders to invoices.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls and SOX requirements.

Who We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build a long-term career in finance.

You'll ideally have:

  • At least 6 months' experience in an accounts or finance role (including placements or internships).
  • AAT qualification, currently studying AAT, or relevant Accounting & Finance education.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with SAP is beneficial but full training will be provided, so don't let this put you off applying.
