About the Role
At BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, we support teams across UK national security and beyond by fostering an Agile mindset and collaborative ways of working. We seek a passionate Junior Agile Coach to guide our teams to success—whether they’re embarking on their Agile journey or refining existing practices.
This entry-to-intermediate-level role is based in our Manchester office, with flexible hybrid working options. We don’t restrict ambition: while Scrum Masters are well-known roles, our Agile Coaches are change agents, mentors and community builders who champion Agile transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Junior Agile Coach, you’ll:
Core Responsibilities
- Mentor teams & organisations—guide Agile adoption and ensure teams thrive in complex environments.
- Promote Agile theory & practice—help stakeholders (from managers to developers) embrace empirical workflows to maximise value.
- Improve team effectiveness—by leading self-organisation, removing impediments, and facilitating ceremonies (e.g., Scrum events, Kanban workflows).
- Foster psychological safety—create inclusive environments where transparency, trust, and collaboration drive continuous improvement.
- Practice what you preach—live Agile values (not just rituals) to inspire trust and authentic change.
- Expand your expertise—attend conferences, meet-ups, and engage in Agile community initiatives within BAE.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
