About the Role
Olive Tree Consulting is currently assisting a major British financial services group with a project focused on improving management clarity and decision making. We are looking for a Junior Analytics Analyst to support our advisory team by organizing data and documenting management patterns. This is a fully remote position that involves turning raw information into clear, usable records that help leadership teams function more effectively.
This role exists to help our advisors bridge the gap between high level data and daily management habits. Within a large organization like our current client in financial services, teams often collect vast amounts of information but struggle to use it to track commitments or progress. Your job is to help us change that. You will look at how this group tracks its priorities and identify where the data fails to tell a clear story. Because the work is fully remote, we rely heavily on precise written communication and a structured approach to troubleshooting information gaps.
What You Will Do
- Organize and clean data sets related to project timelines and management rhythms.
- Create simple, readable summaries that highlight where decision making has stalled or where ownership is unclear.
- Assist advisors in mapping out how information flows between different departments.
- Take detailed notes during remote sessions to capture specific follow up items and responsibilities.
- Maintain the internal tracking systems we use to monitor client progress and structural changes.
- Identify inconsistencies in how different teams within the client organization report their performance metrics.
- Review historical management records to find gaps in accountability.
- Help prepare plain, text based reports that provide clarity to leadership teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Olive Tree Consulting
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
