Junior Asset Manager
Junior Asset Manager
Location: London
Role Purpose
CBRE is seeking a London-based Asset Manager whose primary responsibility will be supporting the management of CBRE’s growing EMEA portfolio of commercial real estate loans. The candidate is responsible for the monitoring, servicing, and accounting of the loan portfolio. The position also involves periodically providing inputs for budgets, cost recovery, and income, along with addressing business and operating issues while proposing recommendations.
What You Will Need To Apply
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Experience:
- In the UK and European real estate finance sector
- Servicing real estate debt transactions across the UK and/or Europe, including various asset classes and investment/development loans
- Debt due diligence, credit analysis, and transaction management
- Execution and documentation, including proficiency in LMA standard loan documentation

Analytical Skills:
- Strong commercial and financial expertise
- Advanced knowledge of real estate financial modelling in Excel
- Ability to prepare and present financing proposals, influencing stakeholders and overcoming objections

Business Development:
- Preferred: existing borrower contacts or a strong personal network in the sector

Communication Skills:
- Excellent client-facing written and verbal abilities for interactions with lenders, investors, and borrowers
- Strong presentation skills

- Ability to work effectively as a team player

Qualifications & Experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with five years+ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
What You Will Be Doing
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing commercial real estate loans across the UK and continental Europe, and monitoring their performance and ability to support loan payments.
- Preparing loan performance reports.
- Providing general customer service to lenders and borrowers.
- Evaluating and preparing recommendations for lender consent items on demands related to both loans and real estate, then presenting these to stakeholders.
- Managing the setup of new loans in the loan servicing system and maintaining the integrity of loan information.
- Monitoring loan document compliance, including:
- Maintenance of property insurance and hedging
- Submission of rent rolls, covenant calculations, and property operating statements
- Preparing operating statement analyses and related collateral review activities.
- Assisting with special projects as required.
