Our client is one of the world's most respected long-term real estate investment businesses, managing a globally diversified portfolio of property investments across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and other international markets.

Operating with a long-term investment philosophy and permanent capital, the business partners with leading specialist real estate operators to invest across a broad range of sectors including logistics, residential, student accommodation, life sciences, self-storage and other alternative real estate strategies.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Junior Asset Manager to join the Property Investments team in London.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded investment platform where you will gain broad exposure across global real estate investments, working closely with experienced investment professionals and senior operating partners while taking on meaningful responsibility from an early stage in your career.

The Role

Working within a lean, collaborative investment team, the successful candidate will support the ongoing management and performance of an international portfolio of real estate investments. The role offers a unique blend of asset management, investment analysis and portfolio management, providing exposure to every stage of the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the performance of a global portfolio of real estate investments and joint ventures.
  • Building strong relationships with external operating partners and investment managers.
  • Reviewing quarterly reporting, financial performance and business plans across the portfolio.
  • Analysing valuations, cash flows, financing structures and investment returns.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives including refinancing, capital expenditure programmes and business plan execution.
  • Preparing investment committee papers, portfolio reviews and management presentations.
  • Assisting with due diligence and underwriting on follow-on investments and new opportunities.
  • Supporting portfolio strategy, market research and thematic investment analysis.
  • Working closely with senior investment professionals across acquisitions, portfolio management and strategy.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with ambitious investment professionals who have between two and six years' experience within institutional real estate, private equity, investment management or advisory environments.

  • Exposure to portfolio or asset management within a real estate investment environment.
  • Experience analysing investment performance, valuations, cash flows and business plans.
  • An understanding of how investment decisions are governed through Investment Committee or Portfolio Review processes, including preparing or contributing to committee papers and recommendations.
  • Experience monitoring the execution of business plans, including leasing, development, refinancing or operational initiatives.
  • The ability to build relationships with operating partners, advisers and internal stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret financial performance and present investment insights clearly.
  • A collaborative, commercially minded approach and an interest in long-term real estate investing.
