The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Newly Qualified / Junior Associate (0-2 years' PQE) to join our growing Belfast office.

Our team covers a wide range of litigation including motor, disease, employers liability and public liability claims. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team within our multi-award-winning firm.

The role is based in our Belfast office and requires regular communication with clients nationally. We have a collaborative, supportive team working in a modern, flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting on a varied caseload of high-quality matters, including drafting, research, and case management
  • Managing your own matters under supervision, with increasing autonomy
  • Supporting senior lawyers and partners on complex transactions and/or disputes
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and client advice
  • Conducting legal research and analysis
  • Engaging directly with clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, including preparing pitches and attending client events
  • Ensuring compliance with internal processes, risk management procedures, and regulatory requirements

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland, England & Wales, or Ireland (or due to qualify soon)
  • 0-2 years' post-qualification experience within a reputable firm
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
