JUNIOR BANKING ARCHITECT
JUNIOR BANKING ARCHITECT Contributes to the design and delivery of banking architecture solutions within consulting and implementation projects. Works alongside senior architects to develop expertise in banking technology, bridging business requirements and technical design in the financial services sector. Key Responsibilities Participate in architecture design activities, contributing to technical analysis and documentation. Support solution design across digital channels, payments, core banking or CRM workstreams. Assist in the production of high-level designs, architecture diagrams, flow diagrams and related design artefacts. Contribute to the definition of technology and solution roadmaps under senior architect guidance. Analyse client requirements and assist in translating them into technical designs and integration approaches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysis, development, QA) and support pre-sales inputs. Continuously develop knowledge of the banking domain and modern technology trends. Experience & Background Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in Banking consulting, implementation or software engineering in financial services. Basic understanding of banking business processes (origination, servicing, payments, digital channels). Some exposure to banking projects or financial services clients is desirable. Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field. Relevant technical certifications (cloud, architecture, agile or equivalent) are considered a plus. Nice to have: Platform knowledge on any Temenos, Oracle Banking, TM, Mambu, Intellect Design, SAP, … Banking Domain Knowledge Knowledge or demonstrated interest in several of the following areas is valued: Core Banking Systems: Deposits, Lending, Insurance or similar; awareness of BIAN framework is a plus. Payments (SEPA, SWIFT or equivalent) or Card Payments. Digital Banking: online, mobile or Open Banking. CRM Systems (Salesforce, MS Dynamics or similar). Technical Skills Candidates are expected to demonstrate working knowledge across several of the following areas: Application development with Java/Spring Boot and/or Angular/JavaScript. Microservices architecture and API design (REST/SOAP). Integration technologies: Kafka, Apache Camel, MQ or similar. Basic understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP). Awareness of data architecture concepts and BI tooling. Awareness of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, Git). Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar). Other Requirements Fluent in English, written and spoken. Analytical mindset with willingness to learn and grow in a consulting environment. Good communication skills; ability to work in multicultural, distributed teams. Familiarity with AI tools as part of day-to-day working practice.
