As a Junior Business Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in business analysis while working on real-world software delivery and client implementation projects. You'll collaborate with analysts, developers, testers, product teams, and clients to help deliver solutions that solve meaningful business challenges.

This role is ideal for someone who is technology-driven, naturally curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You'll gain exposure to business analysis, software configuration, product enhancements, documentation, defect investigation, and customer-facing delivery activities while developing specialist knowledge in the insurance technology sector.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Build an understanding of how our software products support insurance and reinsurance business processes
  • Assist with configuring applications to meet client requirements
  • Support software delivery and client implementation projects
  • Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and system requirements
  • Help create specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with analysts, developers, testers, project managers, and product owners to ensure requirements are clearly understood
  • Assist with documenting and describing new product features and enhancements
  • Support the investigation and resolution of product defects and client-reported issues
  • Produce functional, process, and user documentation
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products, processes, and delivery practices

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Passion for technology and software solutions
  • Eagerness to learn new concepts, systems, and business processes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Some experience in a business analysis, technology, software, or customer-focused environment, or evidence of analytical skills gained through academic or professional experience

Nice to Have

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline
  • Understanding of the London Insurance Market
  • Exposure to insurance, reinsurance, enterprise software, or SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering, process analysis, or software delivery methodologies
  • Understanding of how business applications can be configured to support operational processes
  • Experience creating documentation or supporting software implementation activities
  • Interest in building a career within business analysis, product delivery, or enterprise software consulting
