Role Purpose

Whether you're a recent graduate looking to build a career in data and technology, or an experienced professional seeking a new challenge where you can apply your transferable skills, Infinigate Group has an exciting opportunity to join our AI and Data Team as a Business Analyst. In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, analyse and document data processes, capture business needs, and support initiatives that improve how data is managed, governed and utilised. We're looking for individuals who can think critically, communicate effectively, build strong relationships and translate complex information into clear, actionable outcomes. We are pleased to offer this permanent opportunity as a full-time role, based hybrid from one of our 4 office locations (Fareham, London, Woking or South Cerney) – 3 days in office, 2 working from home.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and technical teams to gather, analyse and document requirements for data governance initiatives
• Document current and future state business processes, data flows, roles, responsibilities and governance controls
• Support the definition and adoption of data ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata management and data issue management processes
• Support the configuration, adoption and business use of Microsoft Purview capabilities such as the data catalog, business glossary, collections, classifications, lineage and data quality features
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlogs
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and playback sessions to align stakeholders and validate requirements, processes and governance outcomes
• Create and maintain documentation including business requirements, process maps, data dictionaries, glossaries, RAID logs and decision records
• Use SQL, reporting tools or data profiling outputs to support data analysis, data quality investigation and evidence-based recommendations
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, architecture, security and compliance teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded into solution design
• Support data quality measurement, root cause analysis, remediation planning and ongoing monitoring of agreed governance metrics
• Contribute to the development of business glossaries, critical data element definitions, policies, standards and operating procedures
• Work with stakeholders to define Microsoft Purview glossary terms, ownership models, metadata standards and catalogue enrichment requirements that improve data discoverability and trust
• Provide clear communication on progress, risks, dependencies and decisions to project teams and senior stakeholders
