About ISS Aerospace

ISS Aerospace designs and manufactures uncrewed systems for defence and national security. From our base in Chieveley, Berkshire, we build the aerial and land platforms, launchers and payloads that give operators a decisive edge, and we do it as a proud British manufacturer. As we grow, we are investing in the data and reporting capability that keeps a fast-moving engineering business sharp.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to turn our operational and commercial data into clear, reliable insight. Our core systems, HubSpot, monday.com and Microsoft 365, are already integrated. Your job is to get the value out of them: building the dashboards, reports and metrics that people across the business rely on to make decisions.

You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, who sets the priorities and signs off the outputs. This is an excellent role for someone early in their career who wants real ownership, exposure to the whole business, and room to grow into more advanced work over time.

This role may also suit candidates from a Junior Data Analyst or junior Power BI Developer background.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports drawing on data from HubSpot, monday.com and Microsoft 365.
  • Write and optimise SQL to query, shape and combine data from across the business.
  • Design clean, well-structured data models and DAX measures that colleagues can trust and reuse.
  • Translate questions from the COO and wider leadership into clear KPIs and metrics, and check the numbers hold up before they are used.
  • Present findings simply and honestly, making clear what the data does and does not support.
  • Keep definitions and reporting consistent, so a given metric means the same thing everywhere.
  • Work with the colleagues who own the underlying data integrations when new sources or fixes are needed.
  • Document your work so reports stay maintainable as the business grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you will bring

  • Around one to two years in a data analyst, BI or reporting role. Strong recent graduates, apprentices or bootcamp finishers with demonstrable project work are welcome.
  • Solid, hands-on SQL: confident querying, shaping and combining data.
  • Practical Power BI skills, including DAX and building a clean reporting and data model, not just drag-and-drop visuals.
  • Sound analytical judgement: the ability to sanity-check results and make an output say something true and useful.
  • Clear communication, and the confidence to flag when a metric is poorly defined or the data will not support it.
  • A self-starter who can take a brief and run with it.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to HubSpot, monday.com or the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Any experience with data integration, APIs, Power Query or dataflows. Useful, but not essential, as this is covered by others in the team.
  • A STEM or analytical degree, or an equivalent apprenticeship or qualification.
  • An interest in defence, aerospace or engineering.
