Nisbets Limited is currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join our Commercial team, supporting Category Managers in delivering key category objectives and ensuring the smooth running of product and supplier-related processes.
About the Role
As a Junior Buyer at Nisbets, you will play an important supporting role within the Category team, acting as a central point of contact for product queries and helping to manage the day-to-day administration of the category. You will be involved in setting up new product lines, resolving invoice queries, and supporting new product development activities.
This is a fast-paced and varied role, ideal for someone looking to develop a career in category management or buying. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, suppliers, and customers, ensuring information is accurate, queries are resolved efficiently, and processes run smoothly.
This role will be based at our Avonmouth office, with flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the central triage point for product queries from internal colleagues and customers, ensuring responses within agreed timeframes
- Set up new product lines, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
- Investigate invoice queries and implement appropriate resolutions
- Support new product development activities, including barcode allocation, database maintenance, and tariff code assignment
- Carry out operational and administrative duties, such as organizing product samples and maintaining product data

Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
- Some experience in administration or processing high volumes of tasks, with strong planning and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Motivated, proactive, and able to manage workload to meet deadlines
