At Infinitesima, we're developing advanced metrology systems that help some of the world's most innovative semiconductor companies push the boundaries of what's possible. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Supply Chain team and play a key role in ensuring our engineers and manufacturing teams have the materials, components and services they need to succeed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience who is keen to develop their career in a highly technical, fast-moving environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Stores and Quality teams, you'll help keep our supply chain running smoothly by:
- Raising and managing purchase orders for technical components, materials and services
- Obtaining quotations, comparing costs and lead times, and placing orders with approved suppliers
- Monitoring open orders and proactively expediting deliveries
- Working with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, pricing queries and documentation issues
- Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and pricing data within our ERP system
- Supporting supplier onboarding activities and sourcing new suppliers where required
- Assisting with supplier performance reviews and cost reduction initiatives
- Supporting negotiations on pricing, lead times and commercial terms
- Ensuring purchasing activities comply with internal processes and approval requirements

What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who are organised, proactive and enjoy building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or a similar administrative role
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numerical skills and the ability to compare quotations and identify discrepancies
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within procurement and supply chain
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
- Experience raising purchase orders and managing supplier deliveries
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings or technical specifications
- Awareness of supplier quality, compliance or import/export processes
- CIPS qualifications, or an interest in working towards them

Location and work pattern:
