Junior Clinical Fellow (FY2-CT1) - General Surgery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 Junior Clinical Fellow (FY2-CT1) to work as part of the General Surgical team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at the Royal Blackburn Hospital site.

Responsibilities

The post holder will assist in providing a clinical service in elective and emergency General Surgery to the population of East Lancashire and the adjoining areas.

  • Provide a patient-centred service, respecting the privacy, dignity, and choice of individual patients.
  • Work closely with STs/Senior Clinical Fellows and under the supervision of the Consultants.
  • Participate in out-of-hours work on the on-call rota, which is a full shift system.
  • Cover General Surgery emergencies and provide cross-cover with Vascular, Urology, and ENT at Junior Clinical Fellow level as part of the Surgical Out of Hours Service (SOS).
