Junior Clinical Fellow Post at Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Trust (NNUH)
We invite applications for a Junior Clinical Fellow post at the Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Trust (NNUH). This post is a full-time position, for six months in the first instance, to commence in September 2026. Further extensions may be possible (with potential progression to Tier Two if experience allows).
About the Role
The successful applicant will join our team of Consultants, ANNPs, Clinical Fellows, Deanery Trainees, and Physician Associates. The Neonatal Unit is one of 3 Regional Intensive Care Units within the Neonatal Operational Delivery Network for the East of England.
The successful applicant will work with colleagues on the Neonatal Unit and will liaise with other specialties to support inpatient and outpatient neonatal care at NNUH. This post will provide an opportunity for developing further skills and expertise subject to the needs of the service and interest of the appointee.
Duties
Duties will be in the neonatal department on the Tier 1 rota. There will be a mixture of long day/night shifts (12.5 hours) and shorter day shifts. Duties will be divided between Intensive/High Dependency Care, Special and Transitional Care, and the care of infants on the post-natal wards. Duties will be shared with resident trainees (ST1-3) and Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Supervision and education will be provided by Consultants. Although the post is not formally recognized for specialist training by the East of England Deanery, the incumbent will have an educational supervisor and access to the training opportunities afforded to other doctors in training in the department.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
