Junior Clinical Fellow - Paediatrics
Core/F3 Paediatric Training Role – Chesterfield Royal Hospital
This role is designed for a Core/F3-equivalent level doctor looking to gain specialty experience within our Paediatric team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The opportunity is tailored for training-level medics seeking to build confidence and consolidate key skills in preparation for the next stage of their career.
About the Role
You will primarily work within general paediatrics, covering:
- Inpatient care
- Acute admissions
- Outpatient clinics
The role also involves care for:
- Our Level 2 Neonatal Unit
- Postnatal ward
- Neonatal deliveries
Training Structure & Support
- Full-shift system operating with 10 participants on rotation
- Full clinical and academic support including:
- Direct mentorship from on-site middle-grade doctors
- Access to consultant-led guidance during shift patterns (evenings, nights & weekends)
- Ability to personalise training objectives, accounting for:
- Previous experience
- Specialty-specific progress
- Prerequisites for formal training applications
