Junior Fertilizer Broker/Trader
London, United Kingdom
Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a high-growth, venture-backed commodities business that is reshaping the way international raw materials are sourced and traded, with a particular focus on fertilisers. By introducing technology and digitisation into a traditionally offline, relationship-driven market, the firm is driving greater efficiency, transparency and security across global supply chains.
Following a successful fundraise and with ambitious expansion plans in place, our client is seeking a commercially driven Junior Fertilizer Trader/Sales Broker to join their London team. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside experienced industry professionals while playing a key role in business development and revenue growth.
The Role
This position is centred on origination and client acquisition within international fertilizer trading markets. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective counterparties, building a pipeline of new business opportunities, and supporting the execution of trades through the firm’s evolving digital platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
