In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC).
The Position
We are looking for a Junior Internal Communications & Marketing Assistant to support UK internal and external communication activities. You will help create engaging content, assist with social media, and contribute to recruitment and marketing initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their communications or marketing career who wants to learn, grow, and build practical experience in a busy and supportive environment.
Main Responsibilities
Internal Communications & Engagement
- Support the delivery of internal communications in line with company objectives and timelines.
- Assist with preparing materials for company meetings, updates, newsletters, and staff events.
- Help coordinate internal engagement activities, working closely with HR on topics such as wellbeing, values, social events, and staff recognition.
- Maintain and update internal communication tools, including SharePoint pages.
- Help gather employee feedback and basic analytics to understand the effectiveness of communications.
- Assist with organising company events such as the annual Summer and Christmas parties.
- Support with general internal communication tasks as required (e.g., notices, safety bulletins, team announcements).

External Communications & Marketing
- Assist in delivering marketing and communications activities that support business goals.
- Work with the Recruitment team to create and schedule advertising content designed for specific audiences.
- Help produce marketing materials such as flyers, templates, and promotional content.
- Support the day-to-day management of social media channels such as LinkedIn, including preparing posts and monitoring engagement.
- Help explore opportunities to grow our presence on new or additional platforms.
This role offers hands-on experience in both internal communications and external marketing. You’ll help produce clear, engaging content that reaches employees and external audiences, while learning how to apply tone of voice, branding, and company values in real-world communications.
Requirements
Alongside a Commitment To Our Values Of Care & Compassion, Performance, Team Spirit, And Inclusiveness, We Are Looking For Individuals Who Can Bring The Following:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Some experience (from studies, internships, volunteering, or previous roles) in marketing, communications, or content creation.
- Basic design or content formatting skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Canva, Adobe, or Microsoft Teams (or a willingness to learn).
- Ability to create clear and engaging content suitable for different audiences.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support multiple teams.
- Interest in developing a career in internal communications, marketing, or employee engagement.
Contract Details
This position will be offered on a 12-14 month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave.
