Role Overview

The Junior Community Manager will act as the frontline voice for our industry-leading cybersecurity brands—ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, and Private Internet Access. They will be responsible for building, engaging, and protecting our communities across various social and review platforms. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional who loves connecting with people and is passionate about digital privacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Voice of the Brand: Represent our brands' voice, mission, and purpose across platforms, including Reddit, Trustpilot, Quora (other platforms TBC)
  • Proactive community engagement: Draft and manage a content calendar of posts across channels for each brand, leveraging all thought leadership, product announcements, content, and marketing efforts to engage our communities and build trust.
  • Reactive Support: Work with the Customer Support team to promptly respond to user complaints, questions, and comments to provide an exceptional customer experience, maintaining high response rates and reducing response times.
  • Community Moderation: Moderate public conversations and community discussions on all forums to protect and grow brand reputation.
  • Customer Intelligence: Surface recurring customer pain points and product feedback to inform development priorities.
  • SEO & Reputation: Work to improve trust scores and increase brand visibility in AI-driven search overviews and review platforms.
  • Performance Tracking: Help monitor and track responses, tone, sentiment, and response time with the wider customer support team.

Experience

  • Communication: Native-level English communication skills with exceptional writing skills.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in social media or community management, community management, or customer service, preferably on the B2C side.
  • Knowledge: Deep familiarity with major social platforms (specifically Reddit) and a passionate interest in cybersecurity, VPNs, and information technology.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced global (mostly remote) environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High EQ with the ability to engage a privacy-conscious community, navigate delicate customer situations, and collaborate effectively with customer support, product, and marketing teams.

Preferred

  • Cybersecurity, privacy, VPN, identity protection, or digital rights experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across product, customer service, and marketing teams.
  • Understanding of SEO and performance marketing.
  • Proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
