About the Role
As a Junior Credit Controller, you will play a critical role in helping our Belfast site maintain healthy cash flow, strong customer relationships and smooth operations. You’ll join a supportive Finance team, gaining practical experience in:
- Credit control
- Customer accounts
- Payment processes
- Financial reporting
This role offers a hands-on entry into Finance, where you can explore, grow, and contribute meaningfully from day one.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the management of customer accounts
- Resolving payment queries for invoice, rebate, or claim issues
- Following up on outstanding invoices and driving collections for overdue payments
- Accurately allocating and reconciling incoming payments
- Maintaining clear records of payment activity and customer communication
- Assisting with aged debt, collection and cash flow reports
- Supporting credit-limit reviews and order-release processes
- Escalating overdue or higher-risk accounts, as needed
- Collaborating closely with Commercial, Logistics, and Customer Services teams
- Supporting Accounts Receivable and Credit Control administration

Requirements
This role is ideal for early-career professionals in Finance or related fields, whether you have:
- Existing experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Finance Administration, or a similar role
- Hands-on experience in a finance internship, placement, or relevant studies
You should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in Excel and IT tools, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic reporting
- Attention to detail
- Strong professional communication skills
- A proactive and resilient approach to follow-ups
- Exceptional organisation and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines effectively
While experience with ERP systems, Power BI or Infor M3 would be advantageous, it is not essential.
Location & Practicalities
Location: Belfast Work Model: 100% on-site Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Hours: 35 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
