Job Description

The Role:

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in reporting and analysis within Financial Services. The role offers the chance to work with data, produce meaningful management information, and support decision-making across the business. You will help maintain regular reporting, investigate trends and issues, and contribute to continuous improvement, while developing valuable technical and analytical skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing regular management information, reporting and analysis to support lending, operational and business performance monitoring
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports, including month-end packs and ad hoc analysis
  • Updating Excel files, reporting trackers and Power BI dashboards, while checking and reconciling data
  • Insight on key lending and governance metrics, including trends, variances and surfacing information where required
  • Reconciling invoices, tracking queries, and addressing variances with the credit risk manager
  • Supporting governance, controls and continuous improvement across reporting processes
  • Assisting with governance packs, templates, meeting materials and action tracking
  • Maintaining reporting controls, records and documentation to ensure outputs are complete and accurate
  • Responsible for running and implementing improvements to operational processes, including handling irresponsible lending complaints and other servicing tasks that support responsible lending practices.
  • Building effective working relationships with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and communicate outputs clearly
  • Working with teams to gather information for regular and ad hoc reporting
  • Communicating reporting outputs, trends and issues clearly and professionally
  • Supporting colleagues with reporting queries and helping maintain effective working relationships across the wider business

Qualifications

  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with data
  • Good Excel skills and an interest in working with spreadsheets and data
  • An interest in Power BI, reporting tools and data visualisation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, investigate trends and solve problems
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage regular deadlines
  • A proactive and methodical approach to tasks
  • Motivation to develop new skills and grow within a reporting and analysis role
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
  • A numerate degree would be a strong advantage, but is not required
