About This Role
We’re looking for curious, motivated problem-scholvers who want to start a career in cybersecurity—no prior experience needed.
As a Junior Cyber Analyst, you’ll:
- Learn to investigate real security alerts and help protect customers from cyber threats
- Gain hands-on exposure to AI-driven cybersecurity technology
- Build confidence while solving real-world challenges
This role is ideal if you enjoy figuring things out, asking questions, and learning how systems work.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll join our Security Operations team, coordinating and learning:
- Investigating and analysing cyber alerts using Darktrace AI
- Identifying unusual activity and potential threats across networks
- Supporting real-time security incidents and post-incident investigations
- Spotting trends and patterns in cyber activity
- Communicating findings clearly to customers
- Writing concise reports summarising your work
- Sharing insights with the team on interesting cases
What You’ll Bring
✔ A post-16 qualification (e.g., A Levels, BTEC, T Level, or equivalent) ✔ Ability to work onsite in Cambridge, Monday to Friday ✔ Eligibility to work in the UK ✔ A strong interest in cybersecurity, technology, or problem-solving ✔ Confidence in learning new systems and actively asking questions ✔ A professional attitude with respect for teammates and customers ✔ A commitment to data security, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Ideal Candidates
The role is particularly suited if you: ✔ Enjoy solving puzzles or complex problems ✔ Are naturally curious and like deep-diving into systems ✔ Communicate clearly (both in writing and discussions) ✔ Stay calm under pressure when learning new concepts ✔ Are reliable, organised, and good at time management ✔ Have a proactive approach—love exploring new ideas

Assessment Process
If successful through initial stages, you’ll be invited to an onsite assessment centre on Wednesday, 29th July, in Cambridge.
