Junior Data Analyst

Location: Birmingham Head Office

Working Hours: 9AM-5PM Monday - Friday, Hybrid working in the office 2 x per week

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Group Technical function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their analytics career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in data management, reporting, systems support and stakeholder engagement within a large, fast-paced organisation.

This role has a strong administration and system support element, with approximately 70% of the role focused on managing, validating and maintaining data and reporting processes, and 30% focused on analysing data and producing insights. You'll receive ongoing training and development, learning from experienced colleagues while building your technical and analytical capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain technical and H&S reporting systems, ensuring information remains accurate, up to date and accessible across the business
  • Perform regular data imports, validation, cleansing and publication activities to maintain data quality and integrity
  • Produce and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reports for Group and Divisional stakeholders
  • Investigate data anomalies and work with site teams to resolve errors and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support site users with system access, account creation, data profile management and reporting queries

About You

We're looking for an organised and technically minded individual with a genuine interest in data and analytics. This role would suit a recent graduate, an individual with some experience in administration or reporting, or someone looking to develop their career in a junior data-focused position.

You'll be comfortable handling large amounts of information, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy solving problems. Just as importantly, you'll be able to communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues across the business, explaining information and processes in a way that is easy to understand.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • Previous experience in an administration, reporting, data or analytical role would be advantageous but is not essential
