Associate Database Administrator (DBA) - Entry Level

About the Role
We’re looking for an Associate Data Base Administrator (DBA) to kickstart their career in our dynamic technology-driven organisation. At System C, our mission is to transform health and care through technology.
Key Responsibilities

Support & Maintenance
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
- Work alongside experienced professionals to carry out backup and restore processes

Incidents & Governance
- Respond to alerts and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain documentation and uphold security and governance standards

Team & Growth
- Participate in team activities and gradual on-call support
- Contribute to SQL Server upgrades to modern versions
- Help with deployment activities
- Collaborate with our Agile DBA team to learn about software development and improve database performance

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualified candidates will typically have:
- A foundational understanding of SQL Server or relational databases
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure
- A passion for continuous learning and developing new technical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work
- Effective communication skills and a strong team-first mindset
