About the Role

We’re searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer to join our growing data team.

While no prior data engineering experience is required, the ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Show a passion for data and an ambition to build a long-term career in the field.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accurate and Timely Reporting Ensuring internal reporting demands are met effectively and on time.

  • Efficient Data Processing Supporting the ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) pipeline with accurate data flow from multiple sources.

  • Data Quality & Governance Upholding — and contributing to — data governance and quality best practices.

  • Collaborative Support Assisting the wider data team with projects and initiatives.

  • Continuous Development Actively learning new data technologies and methodologies.


Skills & Experience Required

  • No prior experience needed, but a strong desire to develop in data engineering.
  • A degree (preferably 2:1 or above) in:
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Data-related disciplines
  • Exceptional problem-solving and curiosity—asking "why?" about data.
  • Strong communication skills:
    • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
    • Proactive asking questions for deeper understanding.
  • Reliability and openness:
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Willingness to receive and provide feedback constructively.
  • Bonus (not mandatory): Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
