Junior Data Scientist (Remote) – £35,000 + Training Provided – Entry Level

Location: Remote
Salary: £32,000–£35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a curious and analytical Junior Data Scientist to join their growing remote data team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity with full training provided, ideal for graduates, career changers with analytical skills, and aspiring data professionals looking to build a career in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and business analytics.

Working alongside experienced data professionals, you will help analyse datasets, build reports, identify trends, and contribute to projects that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyse structured and unstructured data.
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
  • Assist with statistical analysis and predictive modelling projects.
  • Work with large datasets to identify trends and business insights.
  • Support machine learning and AI initiatives where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to solve data-related challenges.
  • Document analysis and present findings clearly.
  • Maintain data quality and accuracy across business systems.

Skills & Experience

  • Interest in Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or R is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualisation tools is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Commercial experience is not essential – full training provided.
