About the Role
The Coventry Building Society has an exciting opportunity for 2 x Junior Designer’s on a 6-month FTC basis. Reporting to the Studio Workflow Manager, this role is part of the Design Team and provides creative support to the wider Marketing function.
The role holder will be responsible for producing high-quality campaign materials and assets across the Society, ensuring all work aligns with brand and Visual Identity (VI) guidelines.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, the person in post will develop and present creative ideas, manage a high volume of projects, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. The role also involves keeping up to date with design trends and emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the team while helping to ensure all creative output remains consistent, engaging, and on brand.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as the Junior Designer will regularly update stakeholders on project progress, ask relevant questions, and constructively challenge ideas where necessary to maintain design standards and brand consistency.
We operate on a team-led hybrid approach with at least 1 day per week in Coventry or Manchester office with willingness to travel to Coventry Binley office once per month.

About You
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled designer with strong Adobe Creative Suite expertise and a solid technical understanding of core design applications. They will have an excellent eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to influence and gain buy-in from colleagues and stakeholders to continually raise creative standards. A proactive mindset is essential, with a keen interest in new design technologies and software developments, using these innovations to drive more effective and efficient ways of working across the team.
For this role you’ll need to have:
- Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent qualification) and experience within a design studio, in-house creative team, or freelance environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of brand management, corporate visual identity (VI) guidelines, and maintaining brand consistency.
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative outputs.
- Knowledge of design requirements across advertising, marketing, and collateral channels, with an awareness of current design trends.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail, with the ability to support continuous improvement and development of brand standards.
Experience in these areas would be helpful:
- Experience of pitch related pre-work and/or delivery of pitch work to clients
