The Opportunity
We’re seeking an all-round Junior Designer to join our growing team and craft work you’ll be proud to showcase. Your work will span websites, journals, animations, videos, and infographics, allowing you to build a strong portfolio while shaping EMJ’s digital presence.

Who You Are
Essential Criteria
🎨 Creative & Enthusiastic: Show a strong interest in digital and graphic design, backed by a developing portfolio that demonstrates creativity and a passion for visual storytelling—especially in digital formats. 💻 Proficiency in Design Tools: Experience with:
- Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Premiere)
- WordPress
- Ability to produce brochures, journals, or annual reports with strong layout skills.
🎬 Multimedia Aware: Eagerness to learn and expand into video editing, motion graphics, or animation. Bonus if you have 3D modelling experience (e.g., Cinema 4D). 📈 Trend-Aware & Communicative: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and industry innovations. 🚀 Self-Motivated & Deadline-Focused: Independent, proactive, and capable of delivering work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Core Tasks

Design Support:
- Assist in producing high-quality publication layouts, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Contribute to e-blasts (newsletters, client communications, publication launch campaigns).

Web & Content Management:
- Upload and update website content across EMJ platforms.

Video & Social Media:
- Support video editing for short-form content.
- Create engaging social media visuals to promote publications.

Collaboration & Growth:
- Work closely with the team to build a portfolio of creative projects.
- Support cross-functional design needs (e.g., internal departmental requests).
- Bring proactive creative ideas to improve content presentation.
Key Information
- Salary: £30,000
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Mon–Fri
- Work Pattern:
- 2 days flexibility for remote work (after probation, probation period = 5 days in-office).
- Location: London/Moorgate office
