Junior Developer Opportunity
We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Developer to help shape the future of our digital services.
Our mission is to develop and support MyHavebury, our mobile and in-house applications/integrations, while collaborating closely with our Digital Services Architect. Your success will depend on translating approved specifications into high-quality, well-tested code, focusing on quality, scalability, and stability.
As one of the UK’s leading housing providers, we own and manage c. 8,000 homes in the East of England. We deliver customer-centric services, support zero-carbon sustainability initiatives, and expand our portfolio through new home developments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end functionality for MyHavebury (our customer portal), ensuring seamless integration with backend business systems.
- Support the development of digital solutions for both internal and external customers, including APIs and data flow integrations.
- Collaborate on digital strategy, contributing technical expertise and innovative ideas to align with business goals.
- Work with the IT Applications and Training Coordinator to hand over new systems, assist in user training materials, and support operational rollouts.
- Provide technical input for business cases involving IT deployments and data requirements.
- Support change management and system design evolutions as our digital services expand.

Requirements
We’re seeking a Junior Developer with the following experience and skills:
- Programming expertise in the following technologies:
- C#, .NET
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, ASP
- Python
- Visual Basic
- Cross-platform mobile development skills, including:
- .NET MAUI experience
- Ability to build and deploy apps for iOS and Android
- Practical API & integration knowledge, including understanding system connectivity and communication protocols.
- SQL Server experience, including:
- Writing complex queries
- Database design (focus on normalized schemas)
- ETL process familiarity
- SSRS reporting development
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to integrate seamlessly with reporting and data tools.

- Base Salary: £39,636.00
- Hybrid Working: Operates a 37-hour flexible working week, balancing home and office (headquarters in Bury St Edmunds).
- Annual Leave: 28 days + bank holidays (increasing to 32 days after qualifying for 3 years). Options to buy/sell or carry over up to 5 days annually.
