Job Description
Netcompany is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing Cloud Operations Team to help enhance the support, delivery, and evolution of our Netcompany Platforms solutions. In this role, you will help build high performing, resilient, and secure services for our clients, working alongside a skilled and forward-thinking engineering community.
As an Platform Engineer, you will be central to designing, implementing, and operating cloud based solutions for a wide range of high-profile clients. You'll apply your expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and Kubernetes to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure platforms that meet the demands of complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications
Experience has shown us that when we trust our employees from day one, they develop their personal and professional skills quickly. This provides a steep learning curve, but your Operations Manager and team always have your back, so you are never left on your own.
Essential
- 1+ years practical DevOps/Platform Engineering experience
- Computer Science degree or relative
- Effective communication skills. You will work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced business sector.
- Ability to plan, organise, and clearly report progress and issues.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to do UK based travel for projects
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to achieve UK Security Clearance
- AWS core services, including compute, networking, storage, IAM, DNS, and load balancing.
- Cloud security best practices and controls within AWS.
- Containerisation and orchestration with ECS and/or EKS
- Implementation and management of Infrastructure as Code in enterprise environments ideally using Terraform.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab or similar CI/CD tools to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to automate complex operational tasks using scripting/programming languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK in Kubernetes environments.
- Understanding of backup, resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery principles for AWS solutions.
- Experience supporting production environments, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
Desirable
- Familiarity with service mesh, ingress controllers, and Kubernetes security best practices.
- Implemented disaster recovery and high-availability solutions for critical systems.
- Exposure to multi-account AWS Environments, multi-cloud architectures and hybrid cloud solutions
- Understanding of cloud cost-optimisation strategies and governance controls in AWS.
- Relevant certifications, such as:
- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate / Professional
- AWS SysOps/CloudOps Administrator or DevOps Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) qualification.
