Role Purpose
The Junior eCommerce Data Analyst will generate insights and reporting, and support eCommerce strategy and optimisation initiatives. The goal is to help leverage a brand-new technology stack to its full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the eCommerce Strategy & Insights Manager to analyse, optimise and report on Spurs Shop performance.
- Generate actionable reports and dashboards, communicate findings to the broader team and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to solve problems and improve the customer experience.
- Complete ad hoc data requests.
- Identify growth opportunities and areas of improvement in the user journey.
- Align reporting with the Business Analytics team, ensuring a cohesive message is communicated across the club.
- Liaise with the web development team and data consultancy to maintain and improve event tracking.
- Attend insight sharing sessions with other analysts from around the club.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest news and innovations in user experience, advertising and technology. Attend regular industry webinars and communicate macro context to the E-commerce team.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
- 2:2 (or equivalent) Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Statistics or other relevant subject. Completed or on track to complete in Summer 2026.
Skills & Experience
- Internship or graduate experience in an analytics, insights, research, e-commerce or marketing role.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Understanding of eCommerce principles and KPIs. A system thinker who understands the inherent trade-offs surrounding traffic quantity and quality, conversion rates and average order values.
- Conceptual understanding of A/B testing.
- Advanced Excel proficiency. (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, nested IF statements, other complex formulas and data manipulation).
Advantageous
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, Shopify, or other E-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel, or other web analytics tools.
- An understanding of fundamental statistics concepts. Ideally, you’ll be able to interpret coefficients, p-values, and confidence intervals.
- Fundamental understanding of SQL.
- Experience with Business Intelligence / Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot or Looker. Moving forward, the business will be using Tableau.
