Junior Electrical Engineer

The Junior Electrical Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and lifecycle engineering of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and complete machine systems.

Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, the role provides exposure across new build, upgrade, and retrofit projects, as well as manufacturing, diagnostics, and service support activities.

The position is designed to develop strong technical capability while contributing to engineering delivery across a range of complex, high-value machinery projects.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible for UK security clearance and therefore MUST hold a full British passport.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

Electrical Design & Development

  • Assist in the electrical design of rotating machinery components, including stator and rotor systems, under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Support the development of machine upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of electrical design documentation and drawings.
  • Assist in the design and development of non-standard coils and related electrical components.

CAD & Engineering Documentation

  • Produce and modify CAD models and engineering drawings to support design activities.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate engineering records, build documentation, and design files.
  • Support the preparation of manufacturing and technical documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
