Join us for a unique experience where we value autonomy, giving our employees responsibility and ownership in their areas of expertise.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to develop their technical expertise while working on the design, development, testing, manufacture, and lifecycle support of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and complete machine systems.

Working closely with experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to a wide range of activities across new build projects, upgrades, retrofits, diagnostics, testing, and service support. This role offers structured development and mentoring, providing a strong foundation for a long-term engineering career within a specialist and technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and development of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and associated components.
  • Support engineering projects involving machine upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
  • Produce and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with testing activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support diagnostics, fault finding, and root cause investigations on electrical equipment.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, service, and maintenance teams.
  • Assist with quality and compliance activities to ensure engineering standards are met.
  • Support project delivery by providing technical input for tenders, proposals, and customer requirements.
  • Develop engineering analysis skills, including modelling and simulation techniques.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in site visits and field engineering activities when required.
  • Engage in structured training and development to build expertise in rotating machinery and lifecycle engineering.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
