We have a great opportunity for a Junior ESG Consultant to join our team in the London office.

This would be the perfect opportunity for someone to come into the ESG (environmental, social, governance) service line where they would be combining project coordination, research, administration, client support, and technical learning. It supports the delivery and marketing of ESG consultancy projects across areas such as carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, B Corp certification, ESG strategy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Project Management & Coordination

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of ESG consultancy projects
  • Track project timelines, deadlines, actions, and deliverables
  • Maintain project documentation and support internal reporting processes
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, follow-up actions, and client communications
  • Help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard

Research & ESG Support

  • Conduct research on ESG topics, sustainability regulations, frameworks, and industry trends
  • Assist with gathering and analysing ESG-related data
  • Support the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Monitor developments in areas such as net zero, carbon reporting, CSRD, SECR, TCFD, and B Corp standards

Writing & Communications

  • Draft high-quality written content including reports, proposals, presentations, and client communications
  • Support the development of ESG thought leadership and marketing content
  • Ensure written outputs are clear, accurate, professional, and tailored to different audiences

Administration & Team Support

  • Provide administrative support to the ESG team as required
  • Maintain organised records, templates, and shared project files
  • Support scheduling, document management, and other internal processes
  • Assist with onboarding and coordination of client information requests

Learning & Development

  • Learn how to deliver ESG consultancy services with support from senior team members
  • Develop technical understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations and reporting
  • Gain exposure to carbon accounting tools, sustainability frameworks, and reporting standards
  • Participate in general and ESG specific training and professional development opportunities

We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about sustainability and excited by the opportunity to make a real impact. You don't need a degree in sustainability to apply – we're interested in people with the right mindset, curiosity, and enthusiasm to learn.

You'll Thrive In This Role If You

  • Have a university degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Are passionate about sustainability and eager to build your knowledge and expertise.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively while taking ownership of your own work.
  • Are organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Have excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Enjoy researching, analysing information, and turning it into meaningful insights.
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
  • Adapt quickly, embrace new challenges, and are happy to get involved wherever needed.

It would be great if you also have:

  • A degree or experience in sustainability, environmental science, business, geography, economics, or a related discipline.
  • An understanding of ESG, sustainability reporting, or wider sustainability issues.
  • Experience in project coordination, consultancy, or another professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with carbon accounting or recognised ESG frameworks.
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly for analysing and working with data.

Previous consultancy experience (including internships or work placements) would be an advantage, but it's not essential.

The role may occasionally involve travel to our other offices, client sites, and industry events or conferences.
