Colubrid Estate Agents Opportunity

Colubrid Estate Agents, Stanford Le Hope have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join their team. This role requires a confident individual who can converse easily with people and is ambitious to succeed.

Role Overview

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a hunger to learn and have a career in the letting's industry.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities are to include but not limited to:

  • Replying and drafting professional emails to the client
  • Working alongside the Sales Progression and Lettings Teams as customer support on the phone
  • Interacting with customers on social media
  • Completing data collection
  • General office tasks
  • Keeping a log of energy performance certificates
  • Tagging property keys
  • Helping our sales team collect feedback from viewings
  • Assisting with viewings
  • Own transport is essential due to assisting with viewings

Training and Specialist Knowledge

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Course Contents

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the competitive marketplace and commerciality of Estate Agency, Innovation, recognising opportunities and referrals.
  • Organise and plan work in a flexible manner to ensure tasks are prioritised and completed within agreed timescales. Show effective decision making to ensure work and tasks are completed in line with instruction and on time, including the principles of productivity, diary management, prioritising, targets/objectives, and to understand task setting.
  • Work effectively with internal colleagues and external partners to achieve individual, team, and business targets, identify solutions to problems, appreciate the importance of team working, and understand job roles and where they fit within the team. Use appropriate communication and interpersonal skills such as active listening, engagement, and managing ambition.
  • Manage the relationship with the customer. Know the importance of written, verbal, and non-verbal communication (including body language), email, letter, telephone, and personal etiquette.
  • Appropriate use of social media sites, i.e., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and smartphone applications.
  • Effective use of IT equipment and software, including specific sales and lettings packages, phone systems, use of mobile phones, measuring devices, dictation machines, damp meters, touch typing, cameras, PCs/laptops/tablets, multifunction copiers, cloud data systems (and data compliance), safety devices.
  • Demonstrate presentation skills, viewing, and selling properties, cross-selling, lettings, and referrals. Standard methods of concluding sales; understanding needs.
  • Have an understanding of active listening, active questioning, empathy, handling difficult people and situations, objection handling, public relations, and research. Be inquisitive, respectful, polite, and know how to take control of a negotiation conversation.
  • Apply a range of administrative skills to support the range of estate agency activities and related services. An understanding of the importance and use of digital and hardcopy records, including appropriate software packages. Diary management, filing, making and receiving telephone calls.
  • Demonstrate both spoken and written ‘business English’ and the difference between internal and external communications etiquette (email, letter, telephone) and numeracy (use of percentages).

  • Junior Estate Agent Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • The apprenticeship programme duration is 13 months
  • Functional Skills in maths and English and ICT (if required)
  • You will be based in the employer’s office, so you will gain 13 months of office-based training
